The first generation of the Adidas Adipure line debuted in 2008. Crafted from Adidas' signature kangaroo leather they featured many of the same design principles that Adidas had incorporated into the soccer cleats they designed years earlier to be worn by various participants in the 1978 World Cup.Aided by a carbon fiber sole unit, this retooled Elite Series version provides the same exceptional control at each touch, while stripping away 19% of its original weight.
